Black Widow- Avenger and S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Black Widow or Natasha Romanova, was born in Stalingrad (now Volgograd), Russia. During her childhood, she became an orphan after Nazis set her home on fire. Her mother threw her out the window to a Russian soldier before she died in the fire. The soldier who took her in was named Ivan Petrovitch and watched over Natasha as if Natasha was his own daughter, remaining by her side as her chauffeur. Natasha’s abilities as an athlete and as a scholar got the Soviet Union’s attention  and drafted her into the KGB as a special operative. Over the years of her training, she became their best soldier and because of her abilities she was given the name; “Black Widow”. On her first assignment she was tasked to assist in the assassination of Professor Anton Banco who had defected to Stark Industries in the United States. She failed when Iron Man showed up, so to even the odds her employers gave her a costume with high-tech gadgets that allowed her to scale walls and grapple across buildings. She was then enlisted the services of a costumed thrill seeker Hawkeye who she charmed into becoming an ally of the Russians. One day during a battle, Black Widow sustained a major injury and was carried off to safety by Hawkeye. After developing feelings for Hawkeye she began to question her loyalty to her country. When the Russian operatives discovered this news, they planned to assassinate her which failed but later captured her and brainwashed her. She along with Swordsman and Power Man were instructed to take on the Avengers, at this time Hawkeye became a member of to clear his name. After she was freed from the mind control, she wanted to make amends with the group and assisted them against the racist group known as the Sons of the Serpent. After defecting to the United States and was shown to be a trusting, loyal friend she eventually joined the Avengers as their 16^th member. But when Nick Fury tasked her to spy on her former employers of S.H.I.E.L.D., she withdrew her membership and broke up her complicated relationship with Hawkeye. Despite this choice, she would occasionally re-joined the team while also taking on her solo career. During her early years of training, Natasha at one point was sent into the Red Room where she was injected with the Super-Soldier Serum. As a result, she became a Superhuman; her physical and mental abilities had been psycho-chemically enhanced beyond human limits. Her physical strength is at the peak level of natural physical limits for a woman of her height, weight and build. She’s strong enough to lift up to 500 lbs, but she stated that the Punisher is stronger than her. Natasha’s speed is as fast as a human can be, maybe even as great or slightly greater than an Olympic athlete. Her agility is heightened to a level greater than that of an Olympic gold medalist; she can coordinate her body with balance, flexibility, and dexterity with ease. Her reaction time is similarly enhanced and functions with superhuman efficiency and capability. Natasha's bodily tissues have been augmented to the pinnacle of human development; though she can be injured in the typical ways like other humans can be, she possesses exceptional human endurance, senses, and stamina. Natasha is extraordinarily capable at withstanding any torture method. She is often required to go undercover for S.H.I.E.L.D. often and has been extensively trained to endure long-term inhumane interrogation methods. While she is susceptible to disease, Black Widow has been enhanced by biotechnology that makes her body resistant to aging and disease and heals at an above human rate. Natasha is an expert in the field of martial arts; she is proficient in sambo, boxing, karate, judo, aikido, ninjutsu, savate, muay thai and multiple styles of kung fu. She is an Olympic class athlete, gymnast, acrobat and aerialist capable of numerous complex maneuvers and feats. Natasha is an extremely accurate marksman skilled in sharpshooting and knife throwing. She is fluent in multiply languages such as Russian, English, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, and various others. She possesses the ability to quickly process multiple information streams and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations. She is a very effective strategist, tactician, and field commander. She has even lead the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. on one occasion. Natasha is also a skilled hacker, she can hack all computer systems without tripping any firewalls or security with ease. Natasha is a dangerous secret agent trained in espionage, stealth, disguise, infiltration, and demolitions. She displays an uncanny affinity for psychological manipulation and can mask her real emotions perfectly. She is capable of killing in cold blood when the need arises. Her talents and years of experience have enabled her to reach a high ranking as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. She is an expert in the field of seduction; Natasha has been infamously known to bend many different men to her will and sometimes even get them to do her bidding for her. Her black costume is made of a synthetic stretch fabric which has been augmented to be highly resistant damage to small arms fire and high temperatures. Microscopic suction cups on her costume allow her to scale walls and cling to ceilings like Spider Man. Natasha also uses her Widow's Line, a grappling hook with a retractable line to swing along rooftops for increased mobility and sometimes brings an Avengers jet-pack. She wields Gauntlets that are wrist cartridges containing various tools of the spy trade: tear-gas pellets, a radio transmitter, and spring-loaded cable. Natasha also carries various automatic weapons and firearms, combat knives and explosives if needed. She also uses a device often referred to as the “Widow's Bite”, a projectile device that is capable of emitting highly potent electric shocks with a maximum charge of about 30,000 volts. Natasha is often his first choice as a second-in-command officer in the Avengers, enabling her to utilize all of talents. Natasha does not particularly have a social life of her own, she dedicates most of her time to her espionage work. Although she is member of a team of superheroes, she only considers Captain America, Falcon, Hawkeye, Bucky Barnes (the Winter Soldier), Black Panther and Mockingbird as peers. During her training years she actually at one point was trained by the Winter Soldier. She has fought aliens, mutants, other spies, killer robots, super assassins, ninjas, and other superheroes like Daredevil, Spider-Man, and Punisher. She even managed to hold her own against Illyana Rasputina; ruler of Limbo while fighting in Limbo itself. As amazing and skilled as she is being put into the Avengers, she’s still human. Revy- the main female protagonist of the Black Lagoon and the main gunfighter of the Pirate group; The Lagoon Company. Revy was born in New York City on February 1990, Revy was born as Rebecca Lee, a Chinese-American in the poverty-stricken Chinatown district of New York City and raised by an abusive, alcoholic father. One day, after fleeing from one of her father's rampages, she was arrested, beaten, and raped by a corrupt police officer. Upon being returned home following this ordeal, Revy shot and killed her father after he callously asked her for another drink. There were apparently similar incidents between Revy and the police, particularly at the 27th Precinct. Eventually the assaults resulted in Revy losing her faith in God, leading her to believe that the police abused her because to them she was "just another little ghetto rat, with no power and no God." Revy was sent to doing time in prison, but it is unknown how she got out and ended up in Roanapur. Revy is very competitive, sarcastic, battle hardened, battle hungry, loud, psychotically humored, rude, easily-bored, and extremely ill-tempered. Unlike Rock, she is undiplomatic, believing in the use of brute force and coercion to get her way. Of all the characters in the series, Revy uses foul language and is also a heavy smoker and drinker. Revy is a merciless and sadistic killer without a conscience, she is more than ready to kill anyone at the slightest provocation, even unarmed civilians, and she kills in cold-blood like in OVA # 3 when she murders a wounded FARC soldier after promising him to take him to a hospital in exchange for finding Roberta's location. She takes maniacal glee in killing anyone she fights or just for fun. She also has very little remorse for her enemies and many times have often stepped on male enemies' crotches for fun to show them how weak they are. Revy is one of the deadliest fighters in the series, her skill with firearms and ability to dodge bullets is almost superhuman and unparalleled. She fought Roberta Cisneros for an entire night till both fell unconscious (Revy was considered the loser since Roberta woke up first). Her main weapon of choice is a pair of modified Beretta 92FS's; which are made out of stainless steel and had their barrels extended from 4.9" to 5.9" each (the 5.9" is the combat MOD barrel) and also adapted for silencers. They are engraved with "9mm Sword Cutlass" on both sides, as well as the Jolly Roger of the infamous pirate Calico Jack (which is also inlaid into the ivory grips), and a manufacture inscription in Thai. Her 92FS's were also used for melee combat at some point in her fight against Ginji, a master swordsman that wields a katana. Due to her dual wielding marksmanship skills, she was nicknamed "Two Hands" by the denizens of Roanapur. Her 92FS’s can fire at a range of 164 feet with 13 bullets in each gun. She also single-handedly fire a breech loaded M79 Grenade Launcher that fires 40x46mm grenades while standing on the deck of a moving boat. She also has used a self-defense PM-63 Rak Submachine Gun with a 15-25 round box magazine with a firing rate of 650 RPM and muzzle velocity of 320m/s. A Gepard Anti Materiel Rifle capable of inflicting significant damage to lightly-armored targets with a firing range of 2,500m. She also carries a APS underwater rifle which has a firing rate of 600 RPM and has a 26 round detachable magazine, however it’s somewhat inaccurate when fired outside of water. Also in her arsenal is an RPG-7 Rocket Launcher, capable of 920m maximum firing range. Revy also appears to be knowledgeable when it comes to weaponary, as she was seen in a rare state of excitement when Dutch handed her the APS underwater rifle. What makes Revy even more dangerous is when she becomes emotionless and enters into "Whitman Fever"; a state of mind that occurs when she's particularly angry, she will kill anyone in sight indiscriminately. There are only a few other characters such as Roberta, who stopped a sword coming at her with her teeth! And Ginji who has the reaction speed to deflect and slice a bullet in half, that can hold their ground or at least be a match against Revy in combat. Though deadly as she is she has no armor to protect herself and is very ill-tempered and rather go guns blazing. She is mentally unstable, a loose cannon always looking for a fight which can also be her downfall. She is also haunted by her past, because of this she’s become power hungry and likes the feeling of being in control. She’s also greedy, Revy believes the chief source of power in life is money, the "one thing everyone respects and agrees on" and consequentially has developed an obsession with maximizing the profits from each job as much as possible; such as ransoming others and looting corpses, when she feels that the Lagoon is not paid enough. She’s apparently ticklish and loves rock and metal music such as “Sleep Now in the Fire” by Rage Against the Machine and “Shooter” by Rednex and is also a fan of Guitar Wolf.
